FIVE TEXTILE AND DECOR TRENDS FOR 2026

FIVE TEXTILE AND DECOR TRENDS FOR 2026

We've spent the last two years or so staying mostly at home, pondering its potential. At the dawn of 2026, we asked architects and interior designers about upcoming trends in materials, colors and furniture, to get an idea of what our homes and ambiances will look and feel like after the pandemic. Here's what we found.

1.- Warm, minimalist homes: Built around everything natural, fluid-form furniture, and craftsmanship—the new luxury—, always featuring handmade items. We're spending more time at home, and we're looking for relaxed atmospheres that are well lit, uncluttered, and which feature higher-quality materials.

2.- Thick-texture textiles, combined with small geometric patterns. Craftsmanship is a must.

3.- Color palettes featuring neutral hues are here to stay, with the addition of dark, elegant ranges. Soft palettes, comprising white, beige, burnt orange, and shades of green like moss and sage, are quickly gaining popularity.

4.- Less is more: Decoration will feature fewer items, but with plenty of soul. Art is essential.

5.- Relaxation stations: A corner to nap, meditate or listen to music between videocalls will be an essential space to keep at home. A hammock gives you the opportunity to include art, textiles, and handcraft at home while making the most of your space.
